CTC Transportation Insurance Services, LLC, one of the largest transportation Managing General Underwriters in the country, is proud to announce the promotion of insurance veteran Chris Daggett to run Sales and Agency Management for all lines of business at CTC. As President of CTC Marine, Mr. Daggett has built CTC’s Inland and Ocean Marine unit, utilizing existing relationships and distribution channels, and creating new ones, to offer a variety of transportation lines domestically, as well as internationally through its London contacts. In his expanded role, he will bring his talent, energy and expertise to our Agency Management team.

Chris started his career with The Chubb Group of Insurance companies in July 2001, where he held various underwriting positions in their commercial lines division, mainly focusing on Property, Machinery, and Marine. After working in Chubb’s NY and NJ offices for over a decade as Senior Property and Marine Underwriter, Chris left the company in 2012 to join CNA, where he developed a NJ-based Inland Marine book of business for two years. From there he went to The Hanover Group in NJ, where he spent three-and-a half years as a Territory Executive of Marine before leaving to run CTC Marine. Throughout each stage of his insurance career, Mr. Daggett has a demonstrated history of profitable growth through disciplined underwriting and strong agency relationships.
CTC is a Managing General Underwriter with headquarters in Carlsbad, CA. It currently employs 125 people in 10 offices, the largest of which are in Butler, MO, and Omaha, NE. Specializing in the transportation industry, CTC wrote its first policy in 2012, and retains many of those early policyholders. CTC has been a Lloyd’s tribunalized coverholder since 2014.
